YASIN MALIK VISITS SOPORE…WALKS
ON FOOT THROUGH SOPORE LOCALITEIS...JKLF, APHC(G) AND APHC (M ) JIONTLY CALL
FOR PROTEST AGAINST SOPORE KILLINGS…
Spree of target killings in Sopore,
ill intentions and motives behind these killings and ironical silence of so-called
rulers over this is highly condemnable and significant. These kinds of killings
are not acceptable to us and today all resistance parties have after mutual
consultations decided to resist these kinds of killings and oppressive attacks.
JKLF with APHC (G) and APHC (M) has decided to call for a one day protest
strike on Wednesday 17th June 2015 while as on Friday 19th
June 2015 leaders will jointly lead protest against these killings at Sopore.
This
was stated by the chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik who today led a protest
rally and sit-in at Sopore. Yasin Malik who was scheduled to leave for Jammu
today in connection with oppression against Jammu Muslims, postponed his visit and
left for Sopore where from last few days 4 innocents have been target killed
.Yasin Malik was accompanied by JKLF leaders Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Sheikh Abdul
Rashid, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Showkat Ahmad Dar, Mohammad Amin Maglu and Shakir
Ahmad etc. Yasin Malik and others sat on a protest sit-in at main Chowk Sopore and
this Sit –in continued for more than two hours. After this Yasin Malik led a
procession and travelled on foot through all Sopore localities .people from all
walks of life including women in large numbers also joined this procession.
Raising slogans in favor of freedom, martyrs and resistance and against spree
of killings and other oppressive measures especially in Sopore this procession
finally concluded at main Chowk where Yasin Malik addressed the gathering.
In
his addresses, Yasin Malik said that spree of target killings in Sopore has
started after the Indian defense minister Manohar Parikars statement of
fighting terrorism with terrorism. Now this phenomenon is continuing and four
innocents have already lost their lives but ironically so- called government
led by mufti Sayeed has maintained criminal silence over these killings. Yasin Malik
said that this silence is significant and fishy as these rulers even after
small militant incidents used to declare people and organization involved
immediately but today after many days they have not spoken even a single word
which speaks volumes about the motive behind these killings. He said that “Sopore is the fort of Kashmir’s freedom struggle and through these
killings some people want to destroy this Fort. He said that today we are in Sopore and want
to convey to the courageous people of Sopore that we will jointly resist this
oppression and will not let anybody to destroy our faith and passion. He said that we have to raise our voice
against these targeted killings and that with the killings fear psychosis is
being created among the freedom loving people of Sopore which is not acceptable
to us. “I have come here to join you and raise voice against the killings. We
have to stand up and show that we will not get cowed down by such attacks,”
Malik said. JKLF chief said that vicious cycle of death was being unleashed
upon the people. “People are being hunted like animals and killed. We cannot
watch it silently. We have to resist it,” he told the mourners. Yasin Malik
announced that all resistance parties have today joined together and today APHC
(G), APHC (M) and JKLF together have decided to resist this spree of killings’
together. After mutual consultations we all have decided to call for a total
strike on Wednesday 17th June 2015. We have also decided to jointly
protest against this killing spree on Friday 19th June 2015 in
Sopore town. This joint protest program will be a show of solidarity with the
people of Sopore and we will together protest against these target killings
with passion and zeal. Said ,Yasin Malik.
