Kashmiri delegation take up the Kashmir issue with Labour shadow foreign secretary, Emily Thornberry

Labour Party asked to review its foreign policy on Kashmir

London 31 October, 2016: A Kashmiri delegation lead by JKLF-UK president, Sabir Gul, met with the Labour Party’s newly appointed Shadow Foreign  Minister, Emily Thornberry, in her London office, and  discussed with her the possibility of reviewing the party  policy on Kashmir and its support for the independence  movement and to call for the international intervention to  curb the growing human rights violations taking place on daily basis in the Indian occupied territory.  Besides  JKLF president, the Kashmiri delegation consisted of the  president of the J&K Liberation League, Councillor  Misfar Hussan, President of J&K Freedom Movement,  Councillor Ghulam Hussain, head of the British Kashmiri
Women Association, Rana Shama Nazir, and Head of JKLF’s  International Political and Diplomatic Campaigns, Prof Azmat
A. Khan.

This followed the JKLF meeting with the UK’s Foreign and  Commonwealth (FCO) head last week, where UK government  silence over the recent uprising was questioned. Expressing  dissatisfaction with the current UK government attitude  towards the gross human rights violations in Kashmir,  JKLF’s Azmat Khan explained that there was a need for the  UK Labour Party to review its foreign policy as  millions of Kashmiri and Pakistani voters in the country  looked towards Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership  to rebalance the gap between apathy and pro-active conflict  resolution approach which was very much needed.  Other  members of the delegation explained how they were looking forward to a future Labour government which would be able to  undo some of the injustices around the world including  Kashmir, where 20 million people have waited for 70 years to  undo the mess left behind by the British colonial raj. They  expressed concerns that UK ministers were more interested in  bilateral trade with India at the cost of human rights  issues and Prime Minister, Teresa May’s visit to India on  6th November would be used by India as an endorsement of its  brutal repression in Kashmir, which is largely hidden from  international spot light because of Syrian conflict. The JKLF leaders underlined the consequential fallout in Kashmir  if the international community did not take timely measures to help resolve the Kashmir conflict.

The shadow  foreign secretary raised a number of questions regarding the  Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan,  Ladakh and Siachin  territories and asked about the political and legal status  of the two assemblies on both sides of the divided Kashmir.

The Kashmiri delegation explained how secret service  agencies undertook a vetting process before candidates were  allowed to stand for local elections and then compelled to  take oath of allegiance towards a country named as an  occupier by the UN, which was the reason why  pro-independence movement leaders were against participating  in such electoral processes.

They pointed to historical  electoral fraud and the bitter claims and counter claims  between India and Pakistan which left little choice for the  pro-independence Kashmiri leadership exercise their right to  freedom of speech and freedom of movement.

It was decided that a follow up meeting would be organised  to look at Kashmiri demands and to address the concerns of  the Kashmiri Diaspora in the UK at a future date.

Honourable British Member Parliament Julie Cooper chaired the meeting along with JKLF,s international, diplomatic and political campaigns head Professor Azmat A Khan,Dr.Misfer Hussan and JKLF UK Zone president Sabir Gul.

JKLF senior leaders including general secretary Syed Tehseen Gillani, cheif organiser Abar Nisar, spokesman JKLF UK Shakeel Mirza, senior Vice President Mushtaq Malik,Senior leader Aslam  Mirza ,Aqeel Butt,Muhammad Saghir,Muhammad Sodagar,Professor Liaqat,Malik Latif,Nazam Bhati, general secretary Luton Liaqat Ali Lone and many more JKLF members were present in the meeting.

JKLF leaders said that UK government has a longstanding but ineffective docile policy of no mediation on Kashmir. For a permanent UN SC member state, which has historical, political and moral obligation on Kashmir, to say “Its between India and Pakistan to resolve” is equivalent to saying the two nuclear armed neighbours can carry on with what they are doing in Kashmir. The ethical foreign policy ministers used to say we stand ready to help but that is no more the case. Hence the bloodshed and carnage continues in occupied Kashmir.

JKLF leaders said that, if promoting respect for human rights and political rights for all people and all nations in the world is a core purpose of the UN, the people of divided and occupied Jammu Kashmir have been waiting over 7 decades for it to take effect in Kashmir. UK and USA are responsible for the systemic failure of the Security Council in meeting their responsibilities and promises on resolving the Kashmir issue peacefully in accordance with the will of the people.  We suspect the new UN Human Rights UpFront initiative will not reach Jammu Kashmir to ensure early and effective action. The uprising over the past 3 months is not likely to die down.

JKLF pleaded the British MPs for their help and assistance to raise the issue of Kashmir’ as an issue of unfettered right of self-determination for 20 million population of Jammu Kashmir rather than a territorial dispute between India and Pakistan.

JKLF asked the MPs to raise questions about Kashmir before Prime Minister, Teresa May, goes to India from 6th November that
While in India, will the PM talk to her counterpart about releasing Kashmiri political prisoners, including women & children as well as the ailing leader of the pro-independence Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Yasin Malik, whose moderate and secular organisation represents Kashmiris on both sides of the divide as well as the Diaspora, and who seeks peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue through international mediation.

JKLF leadership urged British parliamentarians to ask Indian or Pakistani MPs or Ministers, what measures they are seeking to take to make life easier for the Kashmiri population under their respective control, including freedom of speech, freedom of movement and the right to live life with honour and dignity until the Kashmir Issue is resolved.

JKLF raised concerns about the health, safety and well being of JKLF cheif Yasin Malik in front of British MPs and told them that JKLF have strong reservation about the medical treatment of Mr.Yasin Malik provided by Indian government .JKLF urged that Mr. Yasin Malik should be released immediately from the custody.

British parliamentarians assured that they will raise the questions about human rights violations on both sides of LOC and will continue their support for the movement of independence of Jammu Kashmir in the house and on other relevant forums. They said that they understand Jammu Kashmir is not a boarder dispute between Indian and Pakistan but an issue of 20 millions people's political future.

People of Jammu Kashmir should be given an unfettered right of self determination so that they could decide their political future .
British Parliamentarians assured that they will raise all questions and would play more active role inside parliament and outside for the resolution of Jammu Kashmir issue according to the aspirations of the people of Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

Kashmiri delegation apprises head of FCO in London of current volatile situation in Jammu & Kashmir
LONDON: A high-level Kashmiri delegation met with the head of Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), Nicola Mockeridge, in London to bring to UK Foreign Minister Boris Johnson’s attention to the case of illegal imprisonment of Kashmiri leaders in Indian Occupied Kashmir and the deteriorating health condition of the incarcerated, JKLF Chairman Yasin Malik, whose kidney and heart condition has worsened during his imprisonment since 8th July in Srinagar due to ill-treatment in prison and medical negligence.
The delegation, lead by JKLF’s former UK president Azmat A Khan, who is currently heading organistion’s Political & Diplomatic Campaigns, Secretary General of the London based human rights organisation, JKCHR Dr Nazir Gelani and the London representative of the Kashmiri Democratic Freedom Party Ershad Malik.
The Kashmiri delegation urged the UK government through FCO to intervene on humanitarian basis to save Kashmiri leader’s life and urge India to release all political prisoners including young and elderly leaders, women and children who have been arrested in thousands during the past 3 months.
The Kashmiri delegation also urged FCO to take effective measures through the UN mechanism to bring to halt gross human rights violation against the civilian population who are exercising their right to protest against India’s draconian laws in Kashmiri and denying the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination with brutal force.
They expressed concerns with the UK government’s docile policy of none intervention in Kashmir as ineffective and inadequate and said that as a member of the UN Security Council Britain had a political and historical responsibility to play its role in bringing about lasting peace in Jammu-Kashmir where over a hundred of innocent protestors have been killed and nearly 300 youth blinded by lethal weapons such pellet guns.
The Kashmiri delegation also pointed to regional security implications and the dangers of growing anti-western sentiments in Jammu-Kashmir and in South Asia because of the complete silence over Kashmir uprising in the recent months by international community and the media.
The JKLF underlined the consequential fallout within both side of Kashmir as well as in the Diaspora community in UK, which is deeply worried about the ongoing unrest and the repression in Jammu-Kashmir, including the arbitrary arrests of many of the JKLF leaders and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Shabir Shah, Syed Ali Gelani and human rights lawyer Khuram Pervez.
During the hour and half long meeting a number of proposals were put forward by the Kashmiri delegation for consideration regarding the extra-judicial killings, false imprisonment of minors and abduction cases involving security forces and the local state government activities which are in conflict with the international law.

Kashmiri delegation take up Yasin Malik imprisonment issue with UK Foreign Office JKLF delegation apprise Head of FCO in London on current volatile situation in IOK

London 23 Oct,2016: A high level Kashmiri delegation met with the head of Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), Nicola Mockeridge, in London to bring to UK Foreign Minister Boris Johnson’s attention to the case of illegal imprisonment of Kashmiri leaders in Indian Occupied Kashmir and the deteriorating health condition of the incarcerated, JKLF chairman, Yasin Malik, whose kidney and heart condition has worsened during his imprisonment since 8th July, in Srinagar, due to ill treatment in prison and medical negligence. During the hour and half long meeting, several questions were raised by the Head of FCO and the Kashmiri delegation made it clear that the current standoff between India and Pakistan and the lack of progress in bilateral negotiations between Indian and Pakistan has lead to deep resentment and discontent and the so called ‘confidence building measures’, have failed to build on any hope for an early resolution of the Kashmir Issue. A number of proposals were put forward by the Kashmiri delegation for consideration regarding the extra-judicial killings, false imprisonment of minors and abduction cases involving security forces and the local state government activities which are in conflict with the international law.

JKLF -UK chapter is lobbying the UK parliament on Monday, 24th October, to bring to their attention the case of Kashmiri prisoners and the ongoing repression, which has gone into 106 days today.

Press Conference by JKLF at JKLF international Secretariat office, London

Following is a transcript of JKLF press conference, held in London on 27th September 2016.

Ladies and gentlemen you will be aware that while world media attention has been focused on Syria and elsewhere, India’s onslaught on Kashmiri civilians has reached all heights. Today is the 81st day of continuous curfew and killings in Kashmir valley and parts of Jammu region, restricting freedom of movement and freedom of speech by use of brutal and lethal force against unarmed civilians who refuse to accept Indian rule in Kashmir.
  • Since 8th July, 82 civilian protestors, including women and children, have been killed in indiscriminate firing by occupation forces.  Unprecedented use of untested pellet guns continues even today despite promises to abandon them.  The Indian manufacturer of these pellet guns has reportedly said that these guns were never tested for human use. They are primarily meant for animal hunting but the Mufti lead puppet state regime has done nothing to protect their own people. Hospitals in IOK are overfilled with 18000 injured, most of them are teenagers. Minimum cost for their treatment is estimated to be 2-3 lakh rupees each. Doctors have said that over 300 will never be able to see again.  You will recall that in the 2014 Intifada  102 civilians were massacred but no one has ever been taken to task to face any kind of justice because Indian ‘security forces’ enjoy special immunity against prosecution in J&K under the draconian AFSPA law since 1990.
  • While Indian Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, was using words like “insaniyat and jamhooriat” he secretly authorized increase of armed personnel to be deployed in the villages and re-activated Special Task Force which was previously used to harass and arrest pro-independence activists.  It has also come to light that relatives of the local puppet regime lead by Mahbooba Mufti were sent to pellet victims’ homes and hospitals to offer them lakhs of rupees of bribes to speak against the Hurriyat leaders but they found no takers. Since then protests have spread to Jammu’s Kishtwar and Rajouri district. This is not new Intifada. Kashmiris have been in the streets since 1984.
  • Since 8th July, over 6000 Kashmiri students, activist, leaders, lawyers and even health workers, including JKLF chairman Yasin Malik and president Noor Mohammad Kalwal, Bashir Bhat and  Yaseen Bhat have been arrested and are held in most inhuman conditions in prisons without allowing any visits or offering any medical help. Yasin Malik has an acute heart blood-clotting condition but has been refused treatment. We fear for his life. Two weeks ago, Khuram Pervez, a human rights lawyer who was scheduled to visit UNHCR, was arrested at Delhi airport, barring him from leaving the country. You may be aware that India has refused UNHCR fact finding access to Jammu-Kashmir which clearly means that they have a lot to hide. Yasin Malik was taken into custody because of his role in getting the two Hurriyat factions together and Khuram Pervez is in jail because he has collected credible evidence and testimonies from victims of  Indian ‘insaniyat and jamhooriat’.

  • It's been 32 years since a leader of the Kashmir independence movement, Maqbool Butt Shaheed, was hanged in Tihar jail. His dead body still remains a prisoner in Tihar. Last year 60 members of the UK and European parliament sent a joint letter to India’s President, Parnab Mukarjee, asking him to authorize the release of Maqbool Butt remains to his family. There has been no response from Modi’s India.
  • The issue of mass graves, where some 7000 unmarked graves were discovered in North Kashmir 10 years ago, remains unresolved despite efforts of the human rights commission and Srinagar High Court ordering the government to exhume the bodies and undertake identification and proper burial process.

  • While we have reservations regarding Pakistan’s diplomatic offensive in support of our movement for self-determination we welcome Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif’s genuine offer to the world for ‘demilitarization’ of Jammu-Kashmir  at the UNGA last week, including the call for UN lead investigatory mission,  and we hope that  he is including AJK and GB areas under Pakistani control in this offer.
  • Yesterday, India’s foreign secretary Sushma Sawraj, stood at the same podium and made a mockery of his offer and shamelessly defied everything that this august body stands for, including mocking of the historic UN Security resolutions, which both India and Pakistan accepted, that do not recognize the J&K   to be part of any country.
We are concerned that the  international community, including UK, Europe and USA is less interested in using its  influence to persuade India to come to an amicable solution through dialogue and more interested in selling military hardware to India (and Pakistan), despite the fact  that  the two countries have fought 3 wars and if ‘Kashmir issue’ remains unresolved a 4th war in inevitable,
Large Kashmiri Diaspora in the UK and Europe and a number of MPs and MEPs have expressed concerns that if the UN and influential world leaders remain silent on this fundamental issue of self-determination and its brutal suppression by India, grave human rights violations will increase and with daunting prospect of war-crimes and genocide against Kashmiri civilian protestors who are not  prepared to compromise with India come what may.
  • We demand to be spoken verbally prepare list of demands.
  • We are going to  speak of  steps to be taken in terms of worldwide political and diplomatic offensive in favour of full complete independence ...etc

Indian pellet terrorism has again exposed the real face of brutality and inhumanness

Indian pellet terrorism has again exposed the real face of brutality and inhumanness

Srinagar 06th Sep: Cold blooded murder of another young Kashmiri at Seer Hamadan Islamabad by Indian pellet terrorism has again exposed the real face of brutality and inhumanness. This has proved that the proclamation of Indian home minister about stopping the use of pellet guns was only a hoax. The loss of two more young Kashmiris within less than 20 hours is heartbreaking and unbearable. For how long will international community silently watch this murder of humanity in Kashmir?

This was stated by the vice chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt while condemning the ongoing spree of death and destruction at the hands of Indian trigger happy forces in Kashmir Valley. Paying rich tributes to Sopore martyr who breathed his last on 5th September 2016 in a Srinagar hospital and young man from seer Hamadan Islamabad who was martyred by pellets today morning, JKLF vice chairman said that hardly after 20 hours of Indian home ministers proclamation on halting pellets in Kashmir, his trigger happy forces gunned down another Kashmiri by same pellets thus proving the proclamation as only a hoax and eye wash to deceive public opinion. Butt Sahib said that before killing this young man in morning at seer Hamadan Indian forces were on rampage during night hours and vandalized scores of houses, vehicles and orchards in the area. He said that Kashmiris are losing their loved ones by bullets, pellets, shells, beatings and tortures and within 60 days we have lost 80 of our young boys, girls and children at the hands of Indian occupational forces but international community resting in deep slumber has failed even to hear the cries , shrieks and wailings of Kashmiris . Butt sahib said that more than 8000 Kashmiris have been injured during last 60 days with more than 600 losing or being at the verge of losing their eyesight but no one seems to care. He said that this criminal and callous approach of the international community merely for safeguarding its trade relations with India is blot on the face of humanity and democracy.

Meanwhile JKLF leaders and activists living outside Indian occupied Jammu Kashmir are holding peaceful protest programs to rouse international community from its deep slumber regarding Kashmir. JKLF vice chairman Salim Haroon who earlier held a 36 hour protest hunger strike in Islamabad Pakistan against atrocities being committed on Kashmiris today completed his 28 hour long token hunger strike in Muzaffarabad Azad Kashmir. JKLF general secretary Europe zone Masood Iqbal along with other leaders’ Chowdhri Mushtaq Deewan and Ashfaq Kumar today staged a three hour long protest sit-in outside United Nations office in Belgium Europe. Scores of Kashmiris holding placards and banners condemning spree of killings in Kashmir and other human rights abuses also participated in this protest sit-in. participants also demanded an immediate release of all  political prisoners including JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik who is languishing in jail from last 60 days now.   A memorandum addressed to UN chief Ban Ki Moon was also handed over to UN representatives urging this world body to intervene and stop human rights abuses in Jammu Kashmir.

Indian leaders were making a mockery of political dialogue on Kashmir

Indian leaders were making a mockery of political dialogue on Kashmir

Srinagar-26 August: JLKF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik on Thursday said that Indian leaders were making a mockery of political dialogue on Kashmir by inviting people to meetings through Twitter.

In a statement, Malik said that only talks between all parties involved in the Jammu and Kashmir dispute can prove fruitful, as dialogue between India and Pakistan, India and Kashmir, and Pakistan and Kashmir have failed to yield any results.

The JKLF chief who is languishing in central jail Srinagar since last month said that Indian home minister’s invitation for talks through Twitter was ridiculous. “Talks are held between two parties on the basis of equality, but here is the Indian home minister acting like a visiting monarch, asking his subjects to reach him and put forth their grievances,” Malik said.

“Bilateral dialogue process has been a futile exercise. That is why people of Jammu and Kashmir want a dialogue between all concerned parties to this dispute. It is our belief that only this kind of dialogue can resolve this dispute and bring lasting peace and prosperity to South Asia,” he said.

Malik said that Kashmiris have always stood for peaceful means of resistance but it is the Indian “occupational forces” and their Kashmiri “stooges” who from 1947 have used their police and military might to suppress peaceful resistance.

“Today, when whole of Kashmir including Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar, Baderwah, Doda, Ramban, Banihal and Kargil are asking for freedom, the Indian leadership and their Kashmiri stooges are still in denial and are terming the voices of millions as the voice of some miscreants,” he added.

The JKLF spokesman said in a separate statement that “police and Indian forces are continuing their nocturnal raids, crackdowns, spree of arrests and other oppressive measures against Kashmiris, especially against young boys and students throughout Kashmir.”

He said that police have arrested JKLF district secretary Mushtaq Ahmad of Koreg Ganderbal and raided the residence of JKLF district president Ganderbal, Bashir Ahmad Rather.

Debates in Indian parliament and statements of Indian leaders regarding Jammu Kashmir wretched and a shows colonial mind set of Indians towards Kashmir said Muhammad Yasin Malik

Srinagar -11th August: Debates in Indian parliament and statements of Indian leaders regarding Jammu Kashmir are wretched and a show of the colonial mindset of Indians towards Kashmir. Indian leaders can deceive Indian public opinion by bundle of lies and false propaganda but it cannot change the reality on ground. Who says Indian army is not on ground in Kashmir. It is already deployed to crush people’s movement here.

This was stated by the jailed chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik while reacting to recent statements by Indian prime minister, Indian home minister and debates in Indian parliament on Kashmir. Terming the Debates in Indian parliament and statements of Indian leaders regarding Jammu Kashmir as wretched and a show of the colonial mindset of Indians towards Kashmir, jailed JKLF chairman said that Indian home minister Rajnath Singh sahibs statement on deployment of Indian army in Jammu Kashmir is absurd and deceitful, He said that Indian army is already  deployed in south and north Kashmir and even in parts of Srinagar outskirts, installed to crush peoples peaceful protest in these areas.

He said that even Indian television channels and newspapers have carried the news of Indian army’s deployment in various areas of Kashmir and among 60 people martyred and 6000 people injured so-far many have been hit by the bullets of Indian army men. He said that Indian prime minster and now his home minister have tried to portray a people’s revolution as sponsored and ‘mischief of some miscreants’ and instead of acknowledging the political nature of Kashmir issue have cited unemployment and underdevelopment as a cause of this uprising.

By issuing these statements, Indian leaders can befool themselves and their people but this callous and state of denial cannot change the reality on ground, asserted Yasin Malik. He said that the reality is that immediately after gaining freedom from British, India snatched the freedom of Jammu Kashmir by military might and from that time people of Jammu Kashmir are resisting the military occupation of India.

If this people’s resistance would have been sponsored or because of less development or unemployment, this could not have survived more than six decades, said Yasin Malik. He said that even in hardest of times Kashmiris have and are generating employment for thousands of Indian workers and artisans in Kashmir and no one has ever died here because of hunger or unemployment. Dubbing the debate on Kashmir in Indian parliament as bogus, JKLF incarcerated chairman said that after killing 60 of our innocents, injuring more than 6000 out of which many have lost their eye sight and vital organs, we are being told that many quintals of ration, enough of gas and kerosene oil are in stock for Jammu Kashmir.

Also fabricated figures of injuries to Indian security forces are being propagated to justify killing and injuring innocents that too in Indian parliament. This shows the apathy of Indians towards Kashmir and Kashmiris and the gravity of this apathy is many a times more to what is being shown today on Indian television channels regarding an accident in SubashNagar Delhi. Yasin Malik said that Kashmir issue is a living reality which needs a resolution and those who are trying to ignore this reality are actually acting like an ostrich which hides its head in a pit and thinks that danger is gone. He hoped that good sense will prevail and Indian leaders and the ignorant international community will understand the importance of resolving this issue in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Jammu Kashmir.

Meanwhile thousands of men, women, youth and children today marched towards martyrs’ graveyard Eidgah as per the program given by joint resistance leadership. This march started from Nawakdal Srinagar and led by JKLF zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, protesters raised slogans in favor of freedom and martyrs. This peaceful march reached Safakdal Bridge that had been closed down with razor wire and barricades by police and forces. The protesters staged a peaceful sit-in at the bridge. While addressing the protesters JKLF leader Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri said that martyrs are heroes of Kashmiris and every Kashmiri is indebted to these great sons of the soil. He said that by banning peaceful protest march so-called rulers have actually shown that they are worst kind of dictators.

Naming overwhelming majority of Kashmiris asking for Azadi as ‘some misled people’ old ploy of Indian leaders. Denying reality cannot change the reality, Yasin Malik

Faith in Allah almighty, strong unity and unrelenting resistance are the only weapons that will take us to our desired goal said incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik

Srinagar 9th August: Naming overwhelming majority of Kashmiris asking for Azadi as ‘misled’ old ploy of Indian leaders. Denying reality cannot change the reality. Faith in Allah almighty, strong unity and unrelenting resistance are the only weapons that will take us to our desired goal. It is the duty of every Kashmiri to remain steadfast against forces of tyranny. This was stated by the jailed chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik in a message sent from incarceration toady.

JKLF chairman who is in jail from 8th July 2016, in his message to Kashmiri nation said that unwavering faith in Allah Almighty, strong unity and unrelenting resistance are the tools needed to overcome the forces of oppression and tyranny and these tools will surely take us to our desired goal of free Kashmir. Terming the recent statement of Indian Prime Minister Jenab Nerander Modi as illogical, Yasin Malik said that it has been an old ploy of Indian leaders to deny reality regarding Jammu Kashmir and name millions of Kashmiris who are asking for Azadi as “some misled people”.

This state of denial has and will yield nothing because denying reality never changes the reality, asserted Yasin Malik. He said that the reality is that Kashmiris with one voice are demanding freedom and the only way to resolve this human issue is to accept the reality and find some courage to resolve it according to the wishes, aspirations and sacrifices of the people of Jammu Kashmirs.

Hailing people of Jammu Kashmir for their resolve and sacrifices, JKLF incarcerated chairman said that struggle for freedom asks for sacrifices and this journey is always a long tedious journey but the nations which decide to fight the forces of darkness and oppression tread this thorny path and finally reach to their desired goal. Yasin Malik said that from last 32 days, Kashmir is burning, our 55 innocents have fallen to the bullets of trigger happy Indians, more than 6000 men, women and children are injured among whom hundreds have lost their eyesight and other vital organs .Our houses, vehicles, business establishments are being vandalized by Indian forces, pellets and pepper-gas are being used at will and even women and children are not being spared.

Medical, paramedical staff and ambulances have become primary target of forces. He said that police and forces at the behest of so-called rulers have speeded up callous and undemocratic means like night curfews, nocturnal raids, spree of arrests and other oppressive measures to overpower peoples will. JKLF chairman said that Kashmir is burning, innocent killings, curfew and restrictions continue unabated but instead of putting an end to the atrocities against people and listening to their just voice, Indian leaders and their Kashmiri stooges seem stagnant with their state of denial policy. Appealing Kashmiris to stand united and follow the protest programs given by the united resistance leadership, Yasin Malik said that at a time when oppressors are trying hard to break our unity and resolve we need to shun our petty differences, stand firmly united and resist tyrants with oneness and passion.

He said that Kashmir and Kashmiris are passing through hard times but our history bears a witness to the fact that we as a nation have always endured hardships with unity and zeal. Our passion for brotherhood, philanthropy and social works has always been at high during hard times and everything done in this regard by our youth and elders during past 32 days bear a witness to this fact.

Yasin Malik said that along with the unity on political front, poor nation of Kashmir also needs oneness on social, economic and religious fronts also. Stressing upon the need of forging social unity at the level of Mohallas, localities and Masajid, Yasin Malik said that elders and Ulema related to different Masajid and localities, with the help of others, need to rise above the considerations of creed and color and try to reach out to poor, downtrodden and affected people and help them in these hard days. This will ensure that help reaches to every needy person and family and this also will eradicate chances of deceitful person trying to betray people in the name of social work, added Yasin Malik.

Meanwhile besides JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik who is in Srinagar central jail, JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt and block president Kakapora Shabir Ahmad Ganaie remain incarcerated in different Jails and police stations.

Srinagar-6th August 2016: Brutal killing of five more Kashmiris, injuring hundreds has again exposed the trigger happiness of Indian forces and police. People of Pirpanjal region deserve our heartfelt thanks for their show of solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren. Ban on Friday prayers at Dargah Hazratbal, continued detention of JKLF leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt and PSA on JKLF activist Shabir Ahmad Ganaie of Kakapora Pulwama highly condemnable.

This was stated by the incarcerated chairman Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik while condemning the ongoing oppression on Kashmiris all over Kashmir valley during which five more innocents have fallen to the bullets of Indian forces and more than 500 people have been injured on last Friday.

Yasin Malik said that this spree of killings and firings is going on and its soul motive is to suppress people’s revolution by brute force. It is Indian army, police and forces who at the behest of so-called rulers initiate violence by stopping peaceful programs and showering bullets ,teargas, pepper gas shells, pellets and stones kill and injure peaceful people, said Yasin Malik .

He said that as so-called rulers issue orders to their police, forces and army to suppress people by military might, therefore they are directly responsible for all innocent killings, injuries and losses and according to the law of retribution they will have to answer for their crimes against humanity.

While thanking people of Doda, Kishtwar, Baderwah, Ramban, Banihal, Poonch and Rajouri for their show of solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren, Yasin Malik said that this peaceful show of solidarity has once again revealed the fact that people of Jammu Kashmir are one and united in their demand for freedom.

Asking people of Jammu Kashmir especially Pirpanjal area to remain vigilant and safeguard their communal brotherhood at every cost, Yasin Malik said that our struggle and present people’s revolution is for a just cause and we seek freedom, justice and prosperity for all people of Jammu Kashmir irrespective of their religion, cast, creed, color and region.

He said that enemies of the people of Jammu Kashmir may try to damage our communal harmony and brotherhood but we all must stand united and peaceful and defeat their nefarious designs.

Yasin Malik said that five more people have fallen to the bullets of Indian trigger happy forces and hundreds of innocents have been hit by bullets, pellets and shells showered by these killing forces on Friday. He said that from Kupwara to Qazigund this oppression is continuing unabated and India, so-called pro-India rulers, politicians and parties behaving callously have turned a deaf ear to the screams, mourning’s and wailings of bereaved Kashmiris.

He said that relentless unprovoked firings, shelling’s, beatings, cane charges ,nocturnal raids, arrests, slapping Black laws like PSA by so-called rulers ,their forces and police from Kupwara to Qazigund and Budgam to Bandipora are glaring example of this callousness and are highly condemnable.

While condemning the spree of arrests throughout the valley, Yasin Malik said that police last night arrested JKLF block-President Kakapora Pulwama Shabir Ahmad Ganaie and immediately shifted him to Kothuwa jail after slapping black law PSA on him.  While condemning the ban on Friday prayers at Dargah Hazrat BAL, Yasin Malik said that by this act so-called rulers have crossed every limit of shame.

Senior JKLF leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt (younger brother of JKLF founder martyr Muhammad Maqbool Butt) who was arrested by police on 20th July 2016 from police station Kothibagh where he had come to meet incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, has started an indefinite hunger strike against police highhandedness against him at police station Kothibagh.

JKLF leader is being kept illegally in police custody and his health is deteriorating fast. JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik while strongly condemning the continued detention of Zahoor Ahmad Butt has said that if any harm is done to him in custody, the responsibility of that will be on the shoulders of so-called rulers.

Meanwhile JKLF vice chairman Mushtaq Ajmal today went to Gangbugh and met with the victims of police oppression and expressed solidarity with them. JKLF vice chairman also participated in protest Prayers at Batamaloo along with hundreds of people. Also the mother of a JKLF senior member Shamim Ahmad passed away JKLF incarcerated Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik while expressing grief over her demise has prayed for her heavenly abode.

Continuing peoples protest and struggle has only one goal and that is to liberate Jammu Kashmir, Malik

Continuing peoples protest and struggle has only one goal and that is to liberate Jammu Kashmir from the illegal occupation and secure freedom for the people of Jammu Kashmir , By portraying ‘all is well’, so-called chief minister and her ministers are actually trying to befool themselves by living in the world of their own life said incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik

Srinagar - 01st August 2016:  Peoples protest and continuing struggle has only one goal and that is to liberate Jammu Kashmir from the illegal occupation and secure freedom for the people of Jammu Kashmir . Those who try to hoodwink people’s opinion by terming present phase of protests as some isolated events should see the writings on the wall. People of Jammu Kashmir from Poonch to Uri and from Teetwal to Baderwah stand united for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir. All pro-India politicians and political parties are anti-Kashmiri and their main job is to strengthen the illegal occupation of India on Jammu Kashmir. By portraying ‘all is well’, so-called chief minister and her ministers are actually trying to befool themselves by living in the world of their own lies.

This was stated by the incarcerated chairman Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik in a message sent out from jail today. Yasin Malik who is languishing in central jail Srinagar, in his message said that the protests and unabated sacrifices that are being rendered today have only one goal and that is to liberate Jammu Kashmir from the clutches of ugly occupation and secure freedom for the people of Jammu Kashmir.

He said that India and its Kashmiri stooges are engaged in a continued propaganda against people’s revolution and they are trying to portray that this continues protest is an isolated and aimless event that is being run by some vested interest. Yasin Malik said that every illegal occupier and stooges of occupation always try to portray people’s movements as sponsored one and dub them as destructive. But the truth of history is witness to the fact that no freedom movement till date has been defeated by such gimmicks and hypocritical politics. Yasin Malik said that today National conference is raising hue and cry over the innocent killings as if their hands are clean.

They forget about 2010 and 2011 when they were in power, killing innocent Kashmiris and PDP was acting as the so-called champion of human rights and Kashmiri cause. Today their theatrical roles have changed but killings and brutalizing innocent Kashmiris remains unchanged. He said that all pro-India politicians and parties are bunch of collaborators who are only deployed to legalize crimes of Indian forces in Kashmir and safeguard its interests at every cost. Yasin Malik said that today people of Jammu Kashmir from pooch to Uri, Baderwah to Banihal and Qazigund to Teetwal stand united against Indian occupation and are demanding freedom for Jammu Kashmir. But despite this indigenous peoples movement, India and its stooges are in a state of denial and are constantly trying to dub it as a sponsored one. He said that by portraying ‘all is well’, so-called chief minister and her ministers are actually trying to befool themselves by living in the world of their own lies.

While terming the recent remarks of so-called chief minister as shameless assertions, Yasin Malik said that pro-freedom camp has always cared for the education and up-liftment of the new generation. It is in fact the ongoing freedom struggle pioneered by JKLF in 1988 that opened the doors and avenues for Kashmiris and boosted Kashmiri youth to tread path of modern education and today by Allah’s grace Kashmiris shine in every field at the international arena. He said that in contrast so-called rulers use examinations and education for their political ends and are thus making students and education vulnerable. He said that day before so-called chief minister was trying to describe freedom struggle of Kashmiris as anti-education, anti-women and even anti-Islam. She was countered back by the people present there and this should have been an enough writing on wall for her but irony is that the people inundated in the lust of power seem to lost every human instinct and these people always act undemocratically and callously.

While strongly condemning the ongoing state sponsored terrorism of Indian forces and police unleashed throughout Kashmir valley ,Yasin Malik said that today all over the valley glass panes of vehicles, residential houses, shops and even Masajid are special target of Indian forces and police . Nocturnal raids, arrests, beating people, burning down extra carpets of Masajid and vandalizing everything that comes their way has become the routine job of these forces. So-called chief minister who on daily basis issues Fatawa is mum on all this state terrorism and instead of trying to stop all this is vindicating it by putting blame on protesting people. Giving example of Palpora Noorbagh localities like Pamposh and Kounser Colonies, Yasin Malik said that police has made the lives of resident’s hell by unleashing nocturnal terror and people are migrating from their houses to save themselves from the police wrath.
