About JKLF
Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) is the oldest and most popular organisation in all sides of divided Jammu Kashmir, which is struggling for re-unification and complete independence of JammuKashmir State divided since 1948
We believe that the Kashmiri people alone, or their representatives duly elected for this purpose, only have the right to decide about the future constitutional, political, social and economic system for the country and its relationship with foreign countries. Any decision forced upon the people of Jammu-Kashmir (by occupation forces) against their national aspirations will not be acceptable in anyway.
Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (popularly known as JKLF) is the most active and popular nationalists organisation of Kashmir , struggling to get rid of foreign occupation and subjugation.
We believe that the best solution to the Issue is to reunify all parts of the forcibly divided State and offer full sovereignty and independence with a right to become a member of the United Nations.
Our goal is to win freedom and indedendence.
The definition of freedom in our view is that after expulsion of all foreign forces and after gaining independence build a social and political infrastructure based upon the following principles:
FREEDOM OF SPEACH: Individual citizens enjoy the freedom to hold and practice their belief on religion, politics and economy.
DEMOCRACY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE: Form of government is based on the universally accepted principle of democracy, social justice and free economy.
STATE WELFARE: The government is responsible for providing the basic necessities e.g. education, health care and employment for all citizens. In order to bring all people in the State on to equal level of progression the areas lagging behind may well be given priority).
HUMAN RIGHTS: Everyone enjoys basic human rights such as freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom to preach their views, freedom of movement, security of life and honor, and opportunity to make political, social and economic progress.
EQUAL OPPERTUNITIES: No individual or group is discriminated against on the basis of their belief, sex, cast, culture, language or region.
Since complete independence is the key to ultimate freedom, JKLF will, for the time being, concentrate on fighting against the forced divisions and foreign occupation of our country.
Our movement is a movement of national liberation and as such we aim to align our struggle with other similar national liberation movements in the world.
Description:
The Issue of Kashmir is not a 'territorial dispute' between Pakistan and India . It is a question of national independence for over 17 million people, who are yet to exercise their unfettered right to self-determination as provided for in the UN Charter.
We do not accept Jammu-Kashmir to be constitutional or integral part of any country currently occupying it. No individual, group, political party, assembly or government has the right to decide about the future political or constitutional status of the Jammu-Kashmir or of any of its parts. If any individual, political party, group, assembly or government has in the past done so or attempts to do so in the future, it is not legally binding on the people of the State as a whole.
Jammu-Kashmir (including all areas that were its part on 14/l5th August 1947) is an indivisible political entity and we will not accept any bilateral or international agreement, which paves way for a permanent division on the basis of presently forced demarcation.
