Human rights day was observed throughout the world on Tuesday 10th December 2013

Human rights day was observed throughout the world on Tuesday 10th December 2013

(London 11 December 2013):
Once again seminars and lectures were delivered on this issue, articles appeared in the media highlighting the importance of Human rights year after year, and it is stressed that no one should be denied Basic Human in any circumstances.

In a statement issued from London, Senior Vice President of JKLF UK Councillor Mahmood Hussain has said that Western nations always advocate the importance of Human rights and express their displeasure against the regimes that violate these rights but they keep quiet as far as Human rights violations in disputed Jammu Kashmir region are concerned. The Kashmiri people are not only deprived of their basic human rights, but are being mercilessly annihilated. The Indian government has imposed black laws such as AFSPA, PSA etc providing immunity to the soldiers. The people are killed and shot daily, houses are searched without warrant, in few incidents some are burnt down with the occupants still inside.

Councillor Mahmood Hussain said that State sponsored systemic killing is fully operational in Kashmir. No wonder Indian Government is reluctant to allow Independent agencies to monitor abuses being perpetrated by its over 700, 000 troops stationed in Kashmir. (Most heavily militarised region in the world). The Only Crime of the poor and defenceless Kashmiris is that they are asking for their right to exercise the right of self determination.

He further added that it is high time that the people of the world use their voice against this injustice and against the violation of the sanctity of Human Rights.

Shocking -Ill-treatment of Kashmiris in India is Alarming: JKLF

Shocking -Ill-treatment of Kashmiris in India is Alarming: JKLF

JKLF in London has said that by not allowing Yasin Malik, his wife and 18 months old daughter to stay in a hotel in New Delhi shows intolerance towards the residents of Jammu Kashmir by the Indian State.

In a Statement Issued from London, Senior Vice President of JKLF in UK Councillor Mahmood Hussain said that such behaviour of India makes us Kashmiris more determined for freedom from foreign occupation. Only due to the person's political ideology, he was thrown out of the hotel along with his family. Such oppressive and cruel measures cannot be legitimised at any level and will not dampen the struggle for right to self determination and national dignity of Kashmiris.

Councillor Mahmood Hussain further said if Indian authorities continue to harass Kashmiris in India and continue restricting the movements of JKLF Chairman Yasin malik, the organization will take this  issue before international human rights fora as well  as other authorities to expose the under hand undemocratic  methods of Indian state machinery in Kashmir. Cllr Hussain said that forcing a young child out of a hotel in middle of a night along with her parents! this shows the true face of India's so called Democracy, no civil society in any part of the world, would tolerate this inhumane behaviour.

Proposed ‘Wall’ on the LoC by India would meet the similar fate as Berlin Wall

LONDON26 Nov 2013:

The London Branch of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has denounced the plans by Indian Army to build a big wall on the Line of Control (LoC) (similar to  one Israeli's have built dividing the Palestinians) and demanded immediate end to such ‘vicious plan’ designed to permanently divide the Jammu Kashmir state.

The condemnation came at a meeting held in London in which the latest developments on Kashmir issue were thoroughly discussed.

The participants termed Jammu Kashmir as an indivisible entity and pledged all out efforts would be made to protect the political as well as the geographical integrity of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. They said that the proposed ‘Wall’ on the Line of Control (LoC) would meet the similar fate that the Berlin Wall had met in Germany.

The participants also urged the United Nations for necessary action on the matter as Jammu Kashmir is still as disputed in its agenda. This is a final wake up call for the entire Kashmiri Nation, weather living in Kashmir or abroad, to come out, unite and protest vociferously against the proposal of India’s Apartheid Wall.

The meeting was presided over by London Branch President Mahmood Faiz and addressed by Councillor Mahmood Hussain, Tariq Sharif, Javaid Rashid & Sanawar Hussain.
