Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (Aman) has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of a pro-freedom leader Zaffar Sharief in Islamabad, Pakistan, following cardiac arrest.
 Zaffar, according to Front statement, was a noted pro-freedom leader and close associate of its chairman Aman Ullah Khan. Zaffar had recently come to Pakistan from London. He suffered massive heart attack while he was on his way to Masjid in Islamabad to offer Friday prayers.
 The Front has prayed for deceased and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.

Separatists leaders today pledged to carry forward the ongoing movement to its logical end. The pledge was made in a seminar "Nazrita Maqbool, the only possible solution of Kashmir Issue" organised by JKLF (Aman) in Srinagar. 

The separatist leaders from different political parties attended the seminar. The said that Kashmir issue is not the border dispute between India and Pakistan but it is an issue of freedom of people of Jammu Kashmir and that thousand of people have sacrificed for it. 

"Thousands of people have laid their lives for the freedom and we would not allow to go these sacrifices wasted" the leaders said adding that freedom struggle would be taken to logical end. 

The speakers said that Maqbool Butt's idea of an Independent Kashmir is the only possible solution of the Kashmir issue. 

It was the first time after few years that all factions of JKLF came together and  stressed the need of unity among separatist parties.  

Senior JKLF leader, Co-ordinator Kashmir Relief and Development Foundation(KRDF) and Secretary Diplomatic Wing JKLF Zafar Sharif Died, due to Heart attack, this afternoonIn Islamabad after noon. He was returning home after offering Friday prayer when he suffered a severe heart attack and passed away.
May his soul rest in peace. His untimly death is a great loss to JKLF, to Kashmir Freedom struggle and to the Kashmiri community living in UK.
JKLF Supremo Aman Ullah Khan, Sardar Saghir, Secretary Information Dr Toqeer Gilani,, Head Armed Wing Raja Haqnawaz, Chief Organizer Sajid Siddiqui, Chairman SLF Raja Ghulam Mujtaba, Senior Leaders  Sardar Shoaib, Abdul Hamid Butt, Hafiz Anwar Samavi, Khawaja Saif Din,Yousif Chaudhary, Sardar Rehman, Arshad Rathore and others  expressed their deep grief and sorrow on the death of a great son of soil. Mr Aman Ullah Khan said that his death is a great loss to the Nation and offcourse to JKLF. He was a great compatriot, a consistent political worker and a brilliant manager.

His Funeral prayer will be offered on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 3 pm in his home town Panjeri Distt. Bhimber AJK.

Despite the severe cold weather and heavy snowfall hundreds of people joined the rally organised by JKLF in Trehgam to mark the 26th martyrdom anniversary of Maqbool Butt Shaheed, . The rally started from the local graveyard and ended in the main chowk of Trehgam in which hundreds of people participated and paid respect to the great son of soil. Trehgam is the home town of Maqbool Butt Shaheed.

During the rally people shouted slogans of “Butt Tera Qafla Ruka Nahi Juka Nahi”, “Butt Ka Nazriya Sab Pay Bari, Khud Mukhtari Khud Mukhtari”

Speaking on this occasion, Senior Vice Chairman of JKLF, Sheikh Mohammad Afzal, paid rich tributes to Maqbool Butt Shaheed and said that the only way forward for Kashmiri nation is to follow the teachings in practical terms and the ideology of this great Kashmiri leader.
