Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik languishing in police custody from last 15 days

Not letting people to come out of homes during a break in ongoing strike, glaring example of callousness of so-called rulers. Our passion for freedom can never be defeated by any oppression said Incarceration JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik

JKLF, others hold protest rally at Nawabbazar and other places, many arrested.

Srinagar, 22nd July: incarceration and house arrest  of leadership and thousands of youth, strict curfew from last 13 days and total ban on all means of communications etc  are all forms of Indian oppression meant to defeat the passion and valor  of Kashmiri nation . Our passion for freedom can never be defeated by any oppression. Resilience, brotherhood and philanthropy of common Kashmiris in these hard times is heartening and appreciable stated by incarcerated Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik today.

JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik who was arrested by police on 8th July 2016 and is languishing in police station Kothibagh from then, said that arresting and house arresting political leadership, unleashing reign of terror against common people, killing more than 50 innocents by direct firing, injuring thousands, snatching eye sight of hundreds by killer pellets and placing millions of humans under strict curfew for 15 days with no communication  and other oppressive measures has one goal to achieve and that is to break the will, passion and valor of Kashmiri people. But time and again it has been proved that these kind of fascist measures have and will not succeed in breaking the will of Kashmiri people.

He said that despite all what is going on in Kashmir from last 15 days, Indian leadership is in a constant state of denial and is trying hard to dub peoples movement in Jammu Kashmir as a sponsored one. He said that a nation is asking for freedom with one voice, a nation is on streets, protesting for its rights with unity and is rendering sacrifices but Indian leaders and its Kashmiri stooges instead of putting a halt on their oppressive measures and killing spree are legitimizing these killings and undemocratic acts by putting blame on the protestors. Referring to recent remarks by Indian home minister in Indian parliament during which he praised Indian forces for killing Kashmiris and meeting of so-called chief minister with the kith and kin of recently martyred person in south Kashmir, Yasin Malik said that these are two acts of double speak and hypocritical politics by India and its stooges.

At one hand one is praising killers and on the other hand another is shedding crocodile tears on corpse of those killed. Yasin Malik said that this hypocritical politics has actually exposed the real face of India and its Kashmiri stooges and exposed their animosity with the people of Kashmir. Yasin Malik said that so-called rulers are such callous that on Thursday joint resistance had given a call for a break in ongoing strike to facilitate common people but rulers imposed a strict curfew and didn’t allow people to come out and buy necessary food items, medicine and other means of life for them. He said that this coldblooded approach of so-called PDP rulers has exposed their hate for people of Kashmir and it has been proved beyond doubt that these power hungry people can go to any low in their Kashmir enmity.

Yasin Malik said that a nation that has and is rendering valuable sacrifices for its freedom can never be defeated by oppressive and harsh measures and Indian leaders and their Kashmri stooges should bear in mind that oppression is bound to fail and last victory always belongs to the oppressed. While appealing people of Kashmir to continue their zeal, acts of humanity and philanthropy, care for the inured and their attendants in hospitals and work to provide relief to the needy people, JKLF incarcerated chairman said that the work done by Kashmiris especially the youth in this regard has been heartening and appreciable.

Meanwhile following the program given by collective leadership people across Jammu Kashmir raised slogans in favor of freedom and against Indian oppression. People across valley in Masajid expressed solidarity with recent martyrs. A joint program of protest in this regard was held at Nawabbazar Srinagar in which activist from both APHC’s and JKLF participated. This protest was addressed by JKLF zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri and others. People in large numbers participated in this program and raised slogans in favor of resistance. Also JKLF leader’s zonal senior vice president Muhammad Yasin Butt and senior leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt have been arrested by police when they were meeting jailed JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik at police station Kothibagh. JKLF has strongly condemned this Policegiri.

Life is crippled under brutish curfew in kashmir

India and its stooges want to impose peace of a graveyard in Kashmir. killing dozens with impunity, injuring thousands, taking eye sight of hundreds and after all this oppression, imposing a blanket ban on internet, mobile phone services, news papers and even cable TV channels is a glaring example of Indian Hitlerism in Kashmir said Jailed chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik

Srinagar 18th July: India and its stooges want to impose peace of a graveyard in Kashmir. killing more than 50 humans with impunity, injuring thousands, taking eye sight of hundreds and imposing a blanket ban on internet, mobile phone services, news papers and even cable TV channels is a glaring example of Indian Hitlerism in Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti regime has actually crossed all limits of shame and has proved that all pro-India leaders and parties are only stooges of India whose only job is to strengthen Indian occupation on Jammu Kashmir and provide clean chit to killers of Kashmiri innocents.

This was stated by the jailed JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik who was arrested by police on 9th July 2016 from his residence and from then has been languishing in solitary confinement at police station kothibagh, in a message from incarceration today. While terming the curfew and restrictions imposed in Kashmir as worst kind of state terrorism that has shattered the lives of millions in Kashmir, Yasin Malik said that after killing more than 50 innocent Kashmiris and injuring more than 4000 among whom more than 150 have lost their eyesight, India and its Kashmiri stooges led by Mehbooba Mufti have actually crossed every limit of shame.

He said that after killing spree which is still continuing, India and its Kashmiri stooges have turned Kashmir into a big concentration camp. For last eleven days a total curfew has broken the back bone of Kashmiris and today people suffer because of the lack of rations, necessary life saving drugs, milk and food items for their infants and other important means of life .Yasin Malik said that after all these oppressive measures, so-called rulers in their pursuit to suppress news of their ill doings in Kashmir have banned internet, news papers, mobile phone services and even TV cable channels. He said that by all these Hitler type acts, India and its stooges want to hide what is happening in Kashmir.

They want to give international community and the people of India a notion that all is well in Kashmir. Yasin Malik said that Kashmir is burning, people here are being killed, suppressed and terrorized by military might and by banning necessities of modern life and putting blanket ban on all modern communication systems, this land has been virtually turned into big jail. He said that international community by keeping criminal silence on the plight of Kashmiris is proving its futility and this callous and businessmen approach of the world powers is highly condemnable. While condemning the tyrannical behavior of Mehbooba Mufti regime JKLF incarcerated chairman said that that this regime has surpassed every previous ruler in its anti-Kashmiri approach as it is this so-called government that has not only killed dozens of Kashmiris but is also justifying their killings and is also trying every suppressive mean to hide the news of these human rights violations.

He said that instead of stopping the killing spree of innocents this tyrannical regime is calling and deploying more and more forces in Kashmir. This is a glaring example of callousness of India and its stooges who want to suppress Kashmiri people’s voices by military might and oppressive measures. He said that so-called rulers should know that these oppressive measures cannot deter us from perusing the path of struggle and we will keep striving for freedom till the achievement of the desired goal.

Yasin Malik appealed Kashmiris to strengthen the atmosphere of brotherhood in these hard times and help every needy person especially injured and their attendants. He hoped that these black days of oppression will soon come to an end and as per the law of nature, tyrants and oppressors will lose and the last victory will belong to those oppressed.

A memorandum from all kashmiri parties UK's delivered to IHC London and Emailed to Amnest Int, and Secretary General UNO

H.E. Mr Navtej Sarna, High Commissioner of India to the UK
India House, Aldwych, London WC2B 4NA

17 July 2016

Dear High Commissioner,

Sub: Killing of peaceful demonstrators by Indian occupation forces in Jammu Kashmir.

As British Kashmiris we are exercising our democratic right of assembly and free speech by holding this demonstration under the banner of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front-JKLF- at the Indian High Commission in London.  Through this peaceful demonstration we wish to register our strong protest at the killing of peaceful demonstrators by Indian forces in Kashmir.

Public demonstration is a fundamental right that we take for granted as UK citizens, which unfortunately your government denies the people of Jammu Kashmir, and their leaders to exercise.
A clear evidence of this is the house arrests of Huriyat leaders Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Syed Ali Shah Gilani, while JKLF Chairman Mr Yasin Malik is incarcerated in Jail. This is indeed a sad and sorry reflection on India and it’s so called democracy.

Excellency India has practically throttled democratic process with reference to resolving the Kashmir issue- a process in which India not only has historic responsibility, but also made commitments and gave solemn undertakings at the United Nations to honour the commitments.

Excellency, by killing around four dozen Kashmiri youth, youngest being a mere 12 year old boy from Chitragam in Shopian, the Indian army has demonstrated once more that it has no regard for lives of Kashmiris, and that in reality, it is an army of occupation.

In a civilised and democratic society a professional army would be taken to task when it kills a 12 year old boy. 12 year old Shahid of Shopian, like more than a hundred thousand Kashmiris, whom the Indian army has killed since 1988, will unfortunately become another statistic, and his parents will have no recourse to justice, as perpetrators of such violent outrages in Kashmir, are protected by the Indian State, under the Armed Forces Special powers Act -AFSPA- and many other draconian laws.

Thus as in 2010, the year of killing Kashmiri youth, as well as in 2008 when top Huriyat leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz was shot and killed, as he led a peaceful demonstration against the excesses of the forces, currently the Indian army will not be reprimanded, and yet again will get away with killing of over 45 peaceful demonstrators and injuring more than 1500, some of whom may succumb to their injuries and others will sustain lifelong disabilities.

Excellency for almost seven decades, Kashmiris have become accustomed to the brutality of the Indian State and its occupation forces.

However the current spate of killing and the manner of violence perpetrated at peaceful demonstrators is unprecedented by even the oppressive standards of the Indian forces. These therefore are clearly the actions of a colonial military force, which has no respect for the dignity and lives of defenceless populace that considers itself colonised and subjugated.

Excellency in such circumstances, we consider over half a million Indian military and paramilitary forces of occupation, and the Indian State’s occupation apparatus in Jammu Kashmir, complicit in a deliberate policy of violent oppression against a genuine and legitimate political dissent and grievances of the Kashmiri people. Successive Indian governments have deliberately and brazenly reneged on the commitments over the resolution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of 20 million people of Jammu Kashmir.

We therefore, reiterate our firm position that Kashmiris will not give in to Indian oppression, military force and violent intimidation, and will continue to demand our democratic right to decide freely the future political status of Jammu Kashmir.

Excellency actions of Indian forces against peaceful Kashmiri demonstrators are criminal, and these acts of brutality are provided with the ‘legal’ cover of anti-people and inhuman laws by the Indian State, that would not stand, in any national or international court of law. We therefore call upon your government to stop the killing and maiming of (especially young) people in Kashmir, and remove the military from towns and villages forth with where it has no business to operate according to the United Nations arrangements Vis a Vis responsibility of India, and the conduct of Indian military in Jammu Kashmir.

Excellency as you and your government are fully aware, the role of Indian government was to facilitate a plebiscite or a referendum so that people of Jammu Kashmir would be enabled to decide upon the political status of their country, and that Indian military in Kashmir, would assist in the process. We would like to remind you, and your government that India and the Indian army in Kashmir, did not have a mandate from the UN, to kill tens of thousands of innocent Kashmiris and perpetrate unabated violence against a whole nation on a daily basis.

Excellency India cannot expect thousands of Kashmiri parents, like those of 12 year old Shahid from Shopian, to forget deaths of their innocent sons and daughters at the hands of Indian forces. Your forces are even invading hospitals to drag out and intimidate injured and maimed some with potentially fatal wounds.

This is undoubtedly a shameful behaviour of India’s military in Kashmir and the Indian State’s attitudes towards Kashmiri genuine, internationally recognised and legitimate freedom struggle.

The only question before India therefore, is t2o honour its commitments over Kashmir, and allow the people of Jammu Kashmir to decide their country’s future political status. We expect you will convey to your government, our strong views, expressed in this short communication through your Excellency.

JKLF Leaders continue their efforts to reach out to injured and other victims of Indian violence

Saving human lives is our behavior and taking lives by firing to kill and even stopping ambulances with injured theirs. The youth who saved the lives of accident hit Yatrees at Bijbihara deserve appreciation, so-called Rulers who claim democracy and morals on daily basis should at least stop their forces from attacking ambulances and injured said Jalied Muhammad Yasin Malik

Srinagar,14th July: saving human lives is our behavior and taking lives by firing to kill and even stopping ambulances with injured theirs. The youth who saved the lives of accident hit Yatrees at Bijbihara deserve appreciation. This was stated by the incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik who is in police custody from last 7 days while thanking the youth who saved lives of accident hit Yatrees. JKLF leaders continue their visit to hospitals to console injured people there.

Terming the Kashmiri youth who saved lives of accident hit Hindu Yatrees at Bijbihara as heroes, JKLF jailed chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik said that at a time when Indian soldiers and their Kashmiri stooges are busy killing our young boys, girls and children and we are receiving dead bodies of our loved ones on daily basis, this act of kindness by Kashmri youth has made all of us proud. He said this is what our religion Islam teaches us and this is what Kashmiris are known for. Appreciating the youth who did this commendable job, Yasin Malik said that their behavior is to kill but ours is to save human lives.
He said that communal and bias Indian media especially TV channels who are busy demonizing Kashmiris should find some guts to report these things too. Yasin Malik said that Indian forces and police have killed more than 45 people so far and injured more than 1500 by straight firing on the heads and chests. He said that more than half of those injured have been hit by bullets and pellets in their heads, faces, chests and backs and this is why hundreds today face danger of losing eye sight and other vital organs. While referring to the killing of a youth Shabir Ahmad Mir of Tengpora Batamaloo, Yasin Malik said that eye witness to his killing have clearly said that this innocent youth who lived far inside Tengpora locality, was dragged out of his home by SDPO Yasir Qadri and killed in cold blood .This is how many young Kashmris have been murdered by men in uniform, asserted Yasin Malik.

JKLF chairman said that CRPF and police are attacking ambulances and this has become a routine now. Volunteers who have been carrying injured are being beaten, injured are being tortured and their attendants being humiliated by forces and this also has resulted in taking many lives. Even during war times, ambulances and injured are spared but India which claims to be the biggest democracy in the world has let loose its forces and ordered them not to spare even injured and ambulances too, said Malik. He said that so-called rulers who are talking morals and democracy on daily basis should at least stop their terrorist forces from attacking ambulances and injured. Yasin Malik said that India, its bias media and Kashmri stooges should remember that tyranny, oppression and falsehood don’t live long and the day is not far when killers of innocent Kashmiris and their abettors will have to answer for their crimes against humanity.

Yasin Malik while paying homage to martyrs said that this blood will not go waste and we will continue our struggle till the achievement of the desired goal. He also prayed for the early recovery of those injured.

Meanwhile JKLF leadership is continuing its efforts to reach out to the injured and other victims of Indian state sponsored violence and today JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri and Shahid Makaya visited bone and joint hospital Burzalla and JVC hospital .leaders met with the victims and injured people and assured them every support in this hour of dire need. Earlier JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi visited the residence of martyr Shabir Ahmad Mir at Tengpora. The bereaved family and other people told JKLF leader about the brutal cold blooded murder of this innocent youth and said that he was killed by SDPO Yasir in front of many people after dragging him out of his home. Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi while condemning this murder, prayed for the patience of the bereaved family.

JKLF leaders organize a protest rally from Habakada

Jailed JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik condemns arrests, curfew, and restrictions to stop joint resistance march towards martyr’s graveyard.

If international community is not able to feel pain of Kashmiris, they should not add salt to our wounds by issuing inhuman statements added incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik

Srinagar,13th July:  stopping joint march of resistance camp towards Mazar I Shuhada and arresting leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar farooq have exposed the real face of so-called rulers . If world cannot show any sympathy towards mourning Kashmiris whose 40 people have fallen to Indian bullets, it should refrain from adding salt to our wounds.

This was stated by the incarcerated chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik who is in police custody from last six days and is lodged at police station Kothibagh in his message sent from incarceration today. Meanwhile despite heavy restriction and strict curfew, JKLF activists led by Zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal toady  gathered at Habakadal and tried to march towards Mazar I Shuhada according to the joint resistance program but as all roads leading towards Martyrs Graveyad had been sealed by razor wire and other barricades ,the participants staged a strong protest .JKLF zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri along with activists Arshid Ahmad Butt and Shahid Makaya etc were also present in the protest program.

In his message from incarceration JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik while condemning arrests, curfew, restrictions, barricades and other oppressive measures meant to stop joint resistance march towards Martyrs graveyard, said that by these measures so-called rulers have actually shown their class and real anti-democratic and anti-people face. He said that on one hand rulers are busy killing and injuring innocent Kashmiris and on the other hand oppressive measures to suppress peoples voices are also going on unabated .while condemning the arrest of leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Muhammad Umer Farooq, jailed JKLF chairman said that these arrests cannot deter us from perusing the path of freedom and protesting the oppressive behavior of India and its Kashmiri stooges.

While condemning the criminal silence of the international community, Civil society, Indian civil society on innocent killings in Kashmir , JKLF jailed chairman said that instead of condemning the innocent killings of Kashmiris and brutal use of force by Indian forces against them, international community especially USA is either silent or issuing ridiculous statements .if international community is not able to feel pain of Kashmiris whose 40 people have so-far fallen to the bullets of Indians and whose more than 1500 hundred are seriously injured many of which have lost their eyesight, and have no words of sympathy for us, they should not add salt to our wounds by issuing inhuman statements.

While paying rich tributes to martyrs of 1931, Yasin Malik said that the flame of sacrifices lit by these martyrs is still burning and from last six days Kashmiris have sacrifices another forty of their loved ones for freedom and truth. The struggle started in 1931 still continues and will continue till the achievement of complete freedom, asserted Yasin Malik. While paying homage to volunteers, common people, doctors and paramedics who have relentlessly worked for the welfare of victims of Indian violence especially for those injured, Yasin Malik said that the way Kashmiris are showing brotherhood, fellow feeling and philanthropy during these hard times is really heartening and deserves appreciation.

Meanwhile JKLF leaders and activists observed martyrs day throughout world today .one such program was held in Gilgit Baltistan where JKLF chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar ,president Gilgit Saif ud din Bhat and general secretary Muhammad Iqbal etc paid tributes to the great martyrs. Leaders while praying for the heavenly abode of these great martyrs prayed for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir.
